Millions of people across the world observed International Women’s Day on March 8, marking the 115th anniversary of the global movement advocating women’s rights and gender equality.

Events were organized in numerous countries, including marches, discussions, cultural programs, and awareness campaigns highlighting issues such as equal pay, reproductive rights, and protection against gender-based violence.

Activists emphasized that while progress has been made in many areas, challenges remain in achieving full equality.

Several demonstrations took place across Europe, Latin America, and Asia, where participants called for stronger protections and policies supporting women’s empowerment.

The United Nations first officially recognized International Women’s Day in 1977, and it has since become a major global observance promoting women’s achievements and rights.
