Ind vs Eng Test Series: Focus on What You Have to Do for the Team – Tendulkar’s Advice to Captain Gill
As India gears up for its high-stakes Test series against England, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has shared valuable advice for Shubman Gill, who is being considered for a leadership role in the future. Tendulkar emphasized the importance of focusing on team responsibilities over individual performance.
“Don’t worry about the noise. Focus on what you have to do for the team,” Tendulkar said in an interview. He praised Gill’s batting prowess and calm demeanor, stating that these qualities are crucial for leadership at the highest level. Tendulkar added that consistency and clarity in decision-making are vital, especially against a side like England known for its aggressive “Bazball” approach under coach Brendon McCullum and captain Ben Stokes.
India will rely heavily on Gill, both as a top-order batter and as a potential leader, as senior players transition out of the squad. Tendulkar’s advice reinforces the need for mental resilience and team-first thinking, qualities that defined his own legendary career.
The India vs England Test series promises to be an intense contest of skill and strategy, and all eyes will be on young stars like Gill to rise to the occasion
