“Deputy chief minister post is unconstitutional and there is no such post mentioned in the Constitution of India,” he stated.

On Saturday, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the Rajasthan High Court contesting Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa’s “swearing-in” as deputy chief ministers, arguing that this position is unconstitutional. Attorney Om Prakash Solanki, the petitioner, has also requested that the appointments be cancelled. “Deputy chief minister post is unconstitutional and there is no such post mentioned in the Constitution of India,” claimed the minister.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party’s senior brass attended the ceremony on Friday where Diya Kumari and Bairwa were sworn in as deputy chief ministers, while BJP leader Bhajan Lal Sharma took the oath of office as chief minister.
