Mumbai: In a shocking twist to the high-profile attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Mumbai Police have uncovered the attacker’s startling origins—he is an illegal infiltrator from Bangladesh with deep-rooted political links. The accused, now in custody, has been identified as a fugitive who fled Bangladesh under the shadow of political turmoil.

As the investigation unfolded, the attacker’s father, speaking exclusively to NDTV, made a chilling admission—his family is closely associated with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), the very political faction that was in Opposition when his son clandestinely crossed into India. The revelation has sent shockwaves across intelligence agencies, raising serious concerns about border security and the possible infiltration of politically motivated elements into the country.

Authorities are now probing whether the attack on the Bollywood superstar was a lone act of violence or part of a larger, more sinister conspiracy. With questions swirling around the assailant’s motives and potential backers, security forces remain on high alert as the case takes a darker, more complex turn.
