Patna: Tension erupted at a fair organised during Ganesh Puja in Kanhaiyapur village of Mokama after an argument reportedly broke out between two groups. The disagreement soon escalated into a physical clash, creating panic among people present at the fair.

After receiving information about the disturbance, ASI Bablu Kumar reached the spot with a police team. Police attempted to bring the situation under control and separate the two sides. During the intervention, some people also allegedly confronted the police personnel.

ASI Allegedly Pushed While Trying to Defuse Dispute

According to police, ASI Bablu Kumar was allegedly pushed and a scuffle reportedly took place while he was trying to calm the dispute. The incident created fear among people at the fair.

A video related to the incident is reportedly circulating on social media. The video allegedly shows scenes of the disturbance at the fair and a confrontation with a police officer.

Mekra OP in-charge Avinash Kumar said police reached the spot after receiving information about the clash. Police brought the situation under control and detained two people in connection with the incident.

Police are currently investigating the entire episode. Authorities are trying to determine what triggered the clash and who else was involved. Police are also examining the viral video to identify other people who may have participated in the incident.
