Police have arrested another accused in the investigation into the murder of Mukesh Kumar in Haryana’s Faridabad district, which is allegedly linked to an old dispute. The Crime Branch Sector-48 team arrested 22-year-old Yash. According to police, Yash is a resident of Dayalbagh. Two other accused had already been arrested in the case.
The case relates to Tajupur village under the Sadar Ballabhgarh police station area, where Mukesh Kumar was killed on September 12, 2026. According to police, an ongoing dispute was allegedly behind the incident.
The complainant, Jagmeet, who is the deceased’s son, told police that his father had a dispute with some people from the village a few months before the incident. According to the complaint, after the dispute, some youths were allegedly called and Mukesh was also threatened. Tensions between the two sides reportedly continued after that.
Following the murder on September 12, police began investigating the case. During the investigation, police proceeded on the basis of available evidence and information obtained from the accused. As part of the investigation, the Crime Branch Sector-48 team arrested Yash.
According to police officials, the arrested accused is being questioned. The investigation team is trying to determine his alleged role in the murder and identify who else may have been involved in the incident.
Police had already arrested two accused in the case. Following the arrest of the third accused, the investigation is being taken forward. Police are also gathering information about the activities and communications of the accused before the incident.
According to police spokesperson Yashpal, all aspects related to the case are being investigated. Officials said further legal action will be taken based on facts that emerge during the investigation.
The arrested accused is currently being questioned, while police continue to investigate the role of other possible accused persons.
