Panaji, September 27: A lawyer in Goa has accused the son of a ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA of allegedly abusing and threatening him and his family members during a road dispute. The lawyer filed a complaint with the Goa Police on Monday.

Seventy-year-old lawyer Shantaram Kudchadkar claimed that the incident took place on September 26 near Pontemol Junction and Shivaji Circle in Kurcheorem, Kushavati district. According to his complaint, he was travelling in a vehicle with his daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.

Kudchadkar alleged that Rahul, the son of BJP MLA Rajesh Faldessai, had parked his car in a way that blocked the passage of their vehicle. This led to an argument between the two sides over the obstruction.

In his complaint to the police, the lawyer alleged that during the dispute, Rahul used abusive language against him and his family members and threatened them. He has requested the police to investigate the matter and take necessary action.

Police are investigating the matter based on the complaint. The allegations made in the complaint have not been independently confirmed so far, and there has been no response from the MLA’s son regarding the matter.

What began as a minor road dispute has now reached the stage of a police complaint. The complete sequence of events and the status of the allegations will become clearer after the police investigation.
