India registered a commanding 142-run victory over England in the third and final One Day International (ODI) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 12, 2025, sealing a 3-0 series whitewash. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, India put up a massive total of 356 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Shubman Gill was the star performer with the bat, scoring a magnificent century, making 112 runs off 102 balls. He anchored the innings with precision, playing elegant strokes all around the ground. Virat Kohli provided stability with a composed knock of 52 runs, while Shreyas Iyer added quick runs with an aggressive 78, keeping the momentum firmly in India’s favor. England’s Adil Rashid was the only bright spot in their bowling attack, claiming four wickets for 64 runs, but the rest of the bowlers struggled to contain India’s batting dominance.

In response, England faltered under the pressure of the huge target. The Indian bowlers came out all guns blazing, making early breakthroughs and never allowing the visitors to settle. The top order collapsed quickly, and despite some resistance from the middle order, England failed to build any substantial partnerships. India’s disciplined bowling attack and sharp fielding kept the opposition in check throughout the innings. By the time England’s innings wrapped up, they had managed only 214 runs, falling short by a massive margin.

This victory not only highlighted India’s dominance in the series but also showcased their well-balanced team effort in both batting and bowling. With this emphatic win, India completed a 3-0 clean sweep, sending a strong message ahead of future international tournaments.
